This policy covers the iOS app Stackshot: Long Screenshot (“Stackshot”, “the app”), published by DF VietNam Company Limited (“we”, “us”). It applies only to this app. The app has no account and no sign-in.
1. Your photos and screenshots stay on your device
- Stackshot reads the screenshots and screen recordings you choose from your photo library, only after you allow access in the iOS permission prompt.
- All processing happens on your device: joining images, finding seams, reading text (OCR), and detecting areas to hide.
- No image, part of an image, thumbnail, recognized text or detected area is ever uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- Saving adds the finished long image to your photo library. Stackshot never deletes or changes your existing photos.
- Unfinished work is kept on your device as “Projects” (app storage, not backed up by us). You can delete a project in the app at any time. All projects are removed when you delete the app.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect your photos, screenshots, recognized text, names, email addresses, contacts or precise location. We do not sell personal data.
3. Data collected by third-party services
To keep the app free with ads, measure how it is used, and fix crashes, the app uses these services. The data they collect is not linked to your identity by us.
| Service | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics service | App interactions (for example which tools are used), device and app version, coarse location derived from IP address, an app-instance identifier | Analytics |
| Crash reporting service | Crash logs, diagnostics, performance data | Fixing crashes (app functionality) |
| Advertising and consent service | Advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt), ad interactions, coarse location derived from IP address, device information | Showing ads; your consent choices |
| In-app purchase system | Your purchase of Stackshot PRO, processed by the app store | Unlocking PRO; we see only that a purchase is active |
- Ads are shown only after you answer the consent request (where required) and the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you don’t allow tracking, ads are not personalized.
- Stackshot PRO removes all ads.
- These services process data under their own privacy policies.
4. Face data
Stackshot’s “Hide info” tool can suggest areas to hide, such as faces, before you share a screenshot.
- What happens: when you use Hide info, the app uses the iPhone’s built-in, on-device face detection to find the rectangular position of faces in your images. The only result is the position and size of each rectangle. The app uses it to suggest a blur or mask, which you can accept or remove.
- What we don’t do: the app does not identify or recognize people. It does not create face templates, face prints, landmarks or any biometric identifier. It does not use face data for authentication, advertising, analytics or any purpose other than suggesting areas to hide.
- Storage and retention: face rectangles exist only in the app’s memory while you are editing. They are never written to disk, and are discarded when you leave the editor or close the app. If you apply a mask, only the mask (a blurred area in your image) is kept as part of your edits. No face data is kept.
- Sharing: face data is never sent off your device, never collected by us, and never shared with any third party, including the services in Section 3.
5. Permissions
- Photos: to find your screenshots and save the long image. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
- Tracking (App Tracking Transparency): optional, only for personalized ads. You can change it in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
6. Retention and deletion
- Data on your device (projects, settings) stays until you delete it in the app, or delete the app.
- Data collected by the services in Section 3 is kept according to each service’s retention settings.
- You can ask us to delete any data associated with your device by contacting us (Section 9).
7. Children
Stackshot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. Changes
We will update this page if the app’s data practices change, and change the “Last updated” date above.
